There was no need to demolish the entire Auditorium when building planners took a serious look at the building as it stood. The Milwaukee Theater uses the exterior shell of that old Auditorium, but is completely different inside. The new theater has a sloped floor, fantastic balcony, and splendid gallery. When full to capacity, the Milwaukee Theater has room for over 4000 patrons.
A key component of the new theater is the enormous staging area. There is ample rehearsal space, and set storage at the Milwaukee Theater. The Milwaukee Theater also has a drive through/drop off area that makes it very easy for elderly patrons to enter and exit.
The Milwaukee Theater has hosted acts such as Wicked, Stomp, R, Kelly, Abba Mania, Annie, and more. From rock bands, to Broadway, to comedy, the Milwaukee Theater is one fantastic place to see a show.
