More Info
Bob Dandridge, nicknamed “The Greyhound,” had the good fortune of playing for two NBA championship teams. Coming out of Norfolk State University, Dandridge was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the fourth round.

His stellar performance in his rookie year earned him a spot on the All Rookie Team. He consistently ranked as one of the better NBA forwards during his first ten years on the court.

Dandridge was part of the champion Milwaukee Bucks in 1971. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Jabber, and Robertson. These three tough nosed players had numerous All Star appearances. Dandridge alone was picked as an All Star four times. He shot 5-10 in the 1975 game.

As a rookie in 1970-71 season, his pay was a paltry $37,500. In today’s NBA, Dandridge would garner upwards of $500,000 in his rookie year.

After winning another NBA championship with the Washington Bullets, Bob Dandridge came back to play for the Bucks.
