Brian Winters came out of the University of South Carolina, and was drafted by the Los Angles Lakers. His play during his first year in the NBA earned him All Rookie honors.

Brian Winters spent nine years in the NBA, and most of it with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a skillful basketball player, with an average of 16.2 points per game. He came to the Bucks from the Lakers as part of the trade that included Kareem's move out of Milwaukee. He did have a pair of All Star appearances, and was a Milwaukee Buck during six playoff runs.

Winters was a consistent scorer, accurate free throw shooter, and is still ranked in the top three as a franchise leader in assists. His hard work was honored as his jersey was retired. Brian Winters had that special feel for the game of basketball. He went on to be an assistant coach for the NBA, and finally a head coach in the WNBA at Indiana.
