More Info
Charlie Villanueva wasn’t well received when the Raptors drafted him. His performance dispelled those feelings. Villanueva ranked second for Rookie of the Year. He was traded to the Bucks in 2006. He played in 39 games before missing another 43 due to injury. In 2005, he was named Rookie Of The Month for December, and almost made Rookie Of The Year for the NBA. He holds two Raptors records: single game points, and rebounds. Oddly enough, his scoring record while a Raptor came against Milwaukee.

In Milwaukee, his personal single game scoring record stands at 36 points. In 2007, he played in 76 games, averaging 24.1 points per game.

He had 88 assists in his 2006 season, along with 63 blocked shots. He strove past the 1000 point mark that year.

In 2008, Charlie Villanueva played in 78 games and averaged 16.2 points per. For his career he averaged 13.4. One of his most notable games was when taking place of Andrew Bogut. He scored 32 and grabbed 10 rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks.

In July of 2009, Charlie Villanueva signed a five year contract with the Detroit Pistons. The contract was too good to pass up, since it was reportedly worth 35 million dollars.
