Roko Ukic is a professional basketball player for the NBA team the Milwaukee Bucks. He is a native of Split, Croatia and has been playing basketball since the early 1990s. He played on both cadet and junior teams for the basketball club KK Split and aided in the win of the national championship twice during his time on the team. In 2000 at age 16, he went on to join the senior team.
In 2005, he left Split when he was drafted by the NBA team the Toronto Raptors. He was chosen in the second round, being the 41st pick overall. He explored other options between 2005 and 2008, such as playing for the Spanish league in Victoria and Barcelona and playing for an Italian team in 2007. In July of 2008 he agreed to a three year contract with the Toronto Raptors, playing in over 70 games as a backup point guard to former teammate Jose Calderon. Ukic had a great season with the Raptors where he had a career high of 22 points during a February game against the San Antonio Spurs and another great feat with 10 assists during a March game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In late August of 2009, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
