More Info
In spring of 2008, The Milwaukee Bucks hired Scott Skiles as head coach. Prior to joining the Bucks organization, Skiles worked with the Chicago Bulls and the Phoenix Suns. His record in Chicago made him a worthy candidate for the job in Milwaukee. His Bulls team defeated the Miami heat during the 2007 playoffs.

Other accolades include being named head coach for the month of January 2005 after his Bulls kept opponents below the century mark in points for 26 games. While coaching the Phoenix Suns, Skiles managed to push the team twenty games above .500 in 2000.

Skyles also played in the NBA for ten years including Milwaukee. As a player, he had a free throw percentage of .889, which is in the top ten all-time records.

He came into the NBA from Michigan State where they retired his jersey and inducted him into their Hall Of Fame in 2007. In his high school days, Skiles managed to score just under 40 points in the Indiana state finals, leading his team to the championship. His high school jersey was also retired in 1992.

Skiles hopes to bring a defensive minded style to the Milwaukee Bucks team.
